Situated within a meticulously restored mansion in the historic heart of Hermopolis, the Aristide seamlessly blends classic charm with modern design elements. The structure, featuring a striking marble staircase and Doric columns, stands as an architectural masterpiece, showcasing a fusion of Greek Neoclassical and Art Deco styles. Painstakingly refurbished by its proprietors as a personal residence, the mansion offers guests a grandiose experience, from communal spaces to private bathrooms, replete with a harmonious blend of airy grandeur, renowned interior design pieces, and a private art collection. In addition to its nine suites, the mansion houses an art gallery, an artists’ studio, and two bars. Visitors have the option of enjoying a cocktail amidst the garden's shaded trees at the garden bar or reveling in panoramic sea views at the rooftop bar. Nestled in the prestigious Vaporia district, once home to ship magnates and industrialists, the hotel is a brief eight-minute stroll from the beach, town center, and the majestic main square of Hermopolis.
The essence of craftsmanship resonates in the utilization of a creation.
Hotels frequently exude an impersonal and neglected ambiance, a trajectory often determined early in the restoration process. Opulent furnishings cannot compensate for PVC windows or the disruption of spatial harmony with intrusive wall fixtures. The Aristide boasts modern amenities such as smart home technology, integrated air conditioning and heating, soundproof plumbing, and energy-efficient insulation, all seamlessly integrated into the historic structure. The restoration philosophy prioritized authenticity, with materials, textures, and colors chosen for their aesthetic appeal rather than mere functionality. Each suite is equipped with air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, luxury amenities, adjustable lighting, blackout options, soundproofing, under-bed lighting, rain showers, king or super-king size beds, oak flooring and doors, and Bluetooth speakers for personal devices. Most suites feature lofty five-meter ceilings, sea views, balconies or terraces, and private plunge pools or stone bathtubs, all designed for single or double occupancy. Owing to the architectural constraints of the historic building and safety considerations, the hotel, unfortunately, cannot accommodate children under the age of 15.
The hotel’s focal point, the grand white staircase, naturally dictated the prominent use of marble throughout the property. Often relegated to a symbol of opulence, marble at the Aristide is ingeniously integrated into contemporary furniture pieces, preserving its character and elegance amidst a modern aesthetic. Guests will encounter nine varieties of local marble, showcasing the diverse colors, textures, and translucency of this quintessentially Greek material.
